“Embedded systems are the next frontier for the Indian software industry. According to a report, the worldwide embedded systems market was estimated at $45.9 billion in 2004. Expected to growth at an average annual growth rate (AAGR) of 14% over the next five years, this market will reach $88 billion by 2009. ”

Driven by strong demand for consumer electronics products, embedded system market is currently on rapid growth track. With a billion-dollar market waiting to be explored, India is well positioned to pick up a sizeable stake of that market. What with shifting paradigms of tight R&D budgets, managing multiple technologies, mantra of core competencies and extended product cycles, Indian companies can well pitch for any of the global projects.

Rhydo Technologies have already carved a niche in the world market with its display of technical skill, domain knowledge, access to a large talent pool and an established working relationship with many leading global companies.  Rhydo does R&D in power electronics and microcontroller based embedded system, which provides the foundation for future growth. It offers customized embedded system research and development.

R& D Embedded Systems

Devices Today, whether they be automobile brakes or washing machines or audio systems or mobile phones, are becoming increasingly "intelligent'' and autonomous. The intelligence of these devices resides in what are called embedded systems — combinations of hardware and software mounted on compact electronic circuit boards integrated into the devices. An embedded system is a special-purpose computer system built into a larger device. An embedded system is required to meet very different requirements than a general-purpose personal computer. Two major areas of differences are cost and power consumption. The availability of smaller, more powerful hardware such as system-on-chip and DSPs (digital signal processors), low cost, denser memory as well as the trend towards enhanced functionality and networking capability in devices is increasing the complexity and size of embedded software. The scope of embedded has now gone far beyond the traditional real time operating systems.

The main growth drivers for embedded software in the next five years will be mobile telecommunications, military applications and providing more intelligence and connectivity to consumer devices. New areas are opening up like autonomous robots with embedded programming for personal use.

India is rapidly becoming the hub for embedded designs worldwide. India design services companies are involved in embedded hardware and software design in the latest embedded market segments such as automotive infotainment, digital security and surveillance. We could see auto makers worldwide increasingly turning toward India design houses to develop applications for in-car, such as integrated computing for driver and passenger entertainment, driver assistance, etc.

The sub-contracting of embedded software development to Indian software companies has been prevalent for more than a decade now. Estimates say that the number of embedded software developers in the country is rising fast. It is a new high growth area for the Indian software industry.

As pressure continues to achieve higher levels of device integration while reducing cost, size and complexity, the issue of process innovation has become very significant. To accommodate exponential growth demands for embedded market, Rhydo’s R&D Division have constantly pushed the envelope of technological, physical  and design constraints. Various innovations and paradigm-defining ideas have taken shape as a result.

Global competition ensures that there is always something better coming tomorrow. At Rhydo, we have thrived where others have faltered by using creative and innovative technology to create new lifestyles and markets. We believe that continuous innovation is the only way companies can achieve a sustainable competitive advantage going forward. We continue to identify, develop, and acquire the core technologies that will enable us to consistently be first-to-market with innovative products as we establish ourselves as an active participant in the global standardization process.

R& D -Digital Signal Processing(DSP)

Digital Signals Processing (DSP) is undoubtedly the hero of the I.T revolution. CD it fax/data modems, mobile communication, audio, speech, image processing, multimedia, industrial motor control and energy monitoring/control, DSP is a common factor. Digital Signal Processing (DSP) has been a research topic in the R&D Department of Rhydo Technologies since its formation. The principal DSP research areas comprise data communications, speech and image processing and biomedical signal processing. The main research emphasis is placed upon algorithms rather than hardware. As a consequence of this, simulation techniques are widely used; the laboratory is particularly well equipped in this regard, with access to a variety of platforms.

Rhydo Technologies is a leader in development and manufacturing of unique, comprehensive and innovative Solutions for the Digital Signal Processing (DSP) based Market. Rhydo, with its brilliant team of system experts, provides an extensive range of the most advanced and high-powered integrated DSP solutions. Our DSP solutions are geared to the Communications, Medical imaging, Array Processing, Image and Voice\Audio Processing, Data Acquisition, Military and many other emerging DSP based markets.

Communications constitutes the largest market for DSPs and is the dominant driver for the growth of the total DSP market. Technical courses usually contain a large dose of theory, though practical approaches are now becoming available.

R& D -Robotics

Rhydo's Robotics Research includes Pattern Analysis & Machine Learning,Manufacturing Systems ,Microelectronic Circuits and Analogue Devices,Sonar Imaging and Sensor Systems ,Signal Processing and Artificial Neural Networks,Mobile Robotics

The robotics market as a whole is comprised of three distinct, yet substantial, subgroups.
These are
  • Industrial Robotics
  • Service Robotics
  • Personal Robotics.
  • The older industrial robotics segment, which was developed over the second half of the last century, consists of immobile, single task robots that have little interaction with humans or the world around them. They are termed industrial robots because they are exclusively employed in manufacturing and factory floor automation. They are the robots, actually the articulated robotic arms, responsible for spot welding our cars, painting our refrigerators and checking for irregularities in assembled products.

Personal Robotics defines Personal Robots as robots or robotic technology purchased by individual buyers (consumers) which educate, entertain or assist in the home. The personal robotics market serves the consumer market in many diverse segments and is typified by products such as home automation/domestic service robots, hobbyist/education robots and entertainment robots

Service Robotics Service robots, semi or fully autonomous mobile robots that assist humans, service equipment and perform other autonomous functions, have applications in almost every industry – anywhere where work is repetitive, requires continuously high levels of concentration, is physically demanding or takes place in dangerous environments.

Rhydo's Robotic Research consists of a group of like-minded engineers working in robotics research and artificial intelligence.

The latest version of Visual Studio - Visual Studio.NET - incorporates ASP.NET, ADO.NET, Web Services, Web Forms, and language innovations for Visual Basic. The development tools have deep XML support, an XML-based programming model and new object-oriented programming capabilities.

    R & D BioMedical

Biomedical research, in general simply known as medical research, is the basic research or applied research conducted to aid the body of knowledge in the field of medicine. Medical research can be divided into two general categories: the evaluation of new treatments for both safety and efficacy in what are termed clinical trials, and all other research that contributes to the development of new treatments. The latter is termed preclinical research if its goal is specifically to elaborate knowledge for the development of new therapeutic strategies.
Rhydo implements its domain knowledge in the field of embedded systems to the biomedical market to develop innovative testing equipments and alert systems. These equipmentshelps in understanding and applying modern methods for the acquisition, processing and analysis of signals. These systems are intended to be used for different biomedical applications like signal processing for monitoring, diagnosis and prognosis for clinical practice and biomedical research.
